Native Shoes | Sustainable Product Campaign

Filming amidst Vancouver's scenic coastlines, we aimed to bring a lightness and playful energy to Native Shoes eco-friendly line of boots. This winter campaign consisted of a 12 hour shoot day in 25 celsius August weather, which provided the biggest challenge overall, bringing winter vibes to a hot summer day.

Maintaining exposure and the cooler blue sky colour was key to keeping a believable cooler winter look. We achieved this through a mix of ND, Pro-Mist, and Polarizing filters on the camera to control highlights and keep sky and ocean detail in careful balance. As we had multiple locations with a large mix of product to capture, and as we was working alongside a photographer all day, we used handheld rigs and slow motion footage to keep nimble and be able to capture shots any time at any angle needed. 12 hours of squats, ground shots, and climbing along the rocky coastline gives you a real good workout, shots well earned!
